it really depends upon the player. if you are really sure he is very solid or tight; then i'd muck.
on the other hand, there are not many really solid or tight players in a 1-3 game ; so
it's very tough to lay it down. on a side note, if he has 10x, or 5x, or2x of clubs;
then the outcome is very close to a coin flip. if you hold the ace clubs,
then you become a bigger favorite. if he has ace x of clubs, then you are a much
bigger favorite. if he has 34 clubs then it also close to a coin flip. opponent's
best drawing hand would probably be 56 or 26 of clubs.
Move all your betting disks into the middle of the table immediately.
You're ahead of his bluffs and draws and even most of his value range.
If you're beat you're beat.
FTR I'm guessing he has AT/99 type of hand and was protecting from the AK/AQ part of your range. Seen a ton of that.
Only way I'm folding is if a known very tight player pushes. There are just so many hands that push here that you have beat. Club draw, KK, QQ, JJ...and then you get dunks that will push Aten, 34 and other garbage. Shit, I had a guy push
$100 with a gut shot a few days ago. I call it off and of course he hits.

Was me opening up $20 raise good then followed by a $45 raise? Have you found being more aggressive beats those hands? I know it’s rare what he got, and my goal was sucking as much cash as I could with my edge......poker site intrigues me. Ha
The $45 bet was okay but the $20 might have been a bit much seeing you were 1st to act. I don't like to get too aggressive with hands in an early position. Position means a lot in poker.
Position is less relevant with a hand like aces. You're suggesting pussyfooting around with AA cause you are in EP?
Checking flop is bad against most opponents. Good players will check behind and thank you for the free card. This is how you get your aces cracked.
Not to mention there are so many hands you can get value from, including bluffs from a player who believes there is no way you caught a piece of that.
Biggest mistake I see people make is getting too fancy against bad players. If you have good hand bet it. Way more good things can happen.
Flop bet is fine. Preflop raise seems high but I guess dependent on table dynamics and if there were limpers before.
